It has been announced by Cotswold Airport that the planned reopening of the airport to the public has been delayed until the first week of June, this is due to low staffing levels required to safely reopen the airport to the public.
For based pilots they can still gain access to the site via the pass holder facility, visiting pilots are now allowed as long as they request PPR before departure.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, Cotswold Airport stated:
We will NOT be open to members of the public visiting by car next week, our gates will remain closed to the public until we open AV8. We will however, welcome visitors by air from Tuesday. PPR as normal.
There are signs on the gate, so please don’t try to tailgate in behind a pass holder.
On present plans, we may open AV8 (and the gate) in the 1st week of June, but that depends upon the level of staff recruitment to enable this; many cafes are struggling to recruit staff after the lockdowns, and we are no exception.
We will keep you posted
