Our History

Originally founded in 2013, was setup with one goal in mind, to connect enthusiasts with the aviation world and community through social media, events, email, websites and more. It all started with Bristol Airport Spotting, this was the first community website and social media group that became popular from the get-go. Fast forward 7 years it has grown to become the recognised spotting community for Bristol Airport with thousands of members and followers across the Facebook Group and via its website.

During 2015 the joint idea between a few of the team members was to form a community of South West UK aviation photographers, not surprisingly this is known as South West Aviation Photographers. This group has also formed its own community not limited to a specific airport but covers the entire south west of England. This group has held aviation events, trips and visits to various locations for aviation photography.

Over the years Bristol Airport Spotting has run 4 very successful aviation fairs at Bristol Airport, raising thousands of pounds for charity and reaching a wider audience and putting spotting and aviation enthusiasts on the map at Bristol Airport.

As the group, and team has grown, Fresh Aviation has ventured into new areas. More recently starting a community to celebrate and connect enthusiasts and spotters of the airline Icelandair. This possibly came about due to the founders massive love for their main fleet aircraft, the Boeing 757.

This website was put together to join everything together, and be a major resource hub for Fresh Aviation. As we continue to work with our communities and organisations Fresh Aviation will hopefully continue to grow thanks to the determination and support of the team.
