Today 31st March 2023, the inaugural flight of Aegean Airlines operating to Athens took off from Bristol Airport. The first flight arrived in very wet conditions but didn’t dampen the spirits of the passengers, crew and airport staff who were eagerly awaiting its arrival.
We were privileged to be welcomed to the launch event and were able to capture some images of the first flight and launch event. The first flight was operated by Airbus A320 SX-DNC, a 7 year old aircraft, flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
Aegean Airlines has been operating since 1999 from its main base at Athens airport, a member of the Star Alliance it has a fleet of 53 aircraft flying to more than 140 destinations across Europe.
