Bristol Airport welcomes British Airways for rugby charter flight to Lyon

During the weekend of the eleventh and thirteenth of December. Bristol Airport welcomed Gloucester and ASM Clermont Auvergne rugby teams.

Gloucester rugby travelled to the airport on their coach on Saturday the twelfth, ahead of the game the next day against Lyon which the score was 55-10 to Lyon. The team flew on a British Airways city hopper Embraer E190 (G-LCYX). The operation to carry out the flight was operated by two brilliant executive jet charters: Little Jet Co and Centreline.

ASM Clermont Auvergne flew to Bristol airport on an air nostrum (Iberia express) CRJ aircraft. The aircraft arrived at Bristol airport on Friday late afternoon ahead of the game against Bristol Bears the next day, which the score was 38-51 to Clermont auvergne. This flight was operated on the northside of the airport. Its very interesting to see this type of aircraft northside, as usually it is commercial aircraft.

The British airways E190 is based at London city airport. It is used for routes like Edinburgh and Frankfurt. Bristol Airport hasn’t seen a British airways E190 since March of this year.
