Low cost airline easyJet has announced a new route from Bristol Airport to Skiathos for Summer 2024. The summer seasonal flights will commence on 1st May 2024 and operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Skiathos is a Greek island in the north west Aegean Sea, the island is known for its beaches and nightlife. In recent years Skiathos has been popular with plane spotters due to the proximity of the runway to the beach with landing aircraft a few feet above onlookers heads, departing aircraft give strong winds from the aircraft engines, Skiathos is known as the “St Maarten” of Europe. St Maarten being the popular beach where aircraft pass very low over the beach.
The flights will operate as follows:
- BRS 06:00am – 11:30am JSI (Wed)
- BRS 07:10am – 12:40pm JSI (Sun)
- JSI 12:10pm – 14:00pm BRS (Wed)
- JSI 13:20pm – 15:10pm BRS (Sun)
